What kind of puppies and dogs are good with children?
I'd like to get my 7 year old a dog for Christmas. I want to know what types of dogs are good with children. I live in a smaller house and have a baby of 5 months. I do not want to pay lots of money for a dog. Thank you!
From small to medium sized dogs will be better. But I think more than the kind of dog it is important to get a puppy when it is very young. For example, between 5 -8 weeks. I have my two puppies when they were 5 weeks and behaves very well because of it. My male dog, Mini Daschund is a lover. It is larger than a mini and weighs about 15 pounds. But it is so affectionate and loves everyone. Was $ 400. But my other Chiweenie is a dog, a Daschund and Chiwawa mix, and was free. And it's like a girlfriend. Both are great with children, but I think because I so young and exposed to many things.
