Has anyone used a D.A.P. (Dog appeasing pheromone) collar?
My silky terrier is terribly afraid of thunderstorms and rain, and it is getting progressively worse. I can’t get her into a vet appointment for another week, so I thought I might try a D.A.P. collar, that supposedly mimics the pheromones of the mother dog. Has anyone else used it? Any other suggestions?
havnt used a DAP collar, have used a plug in DAP diffuser with dads dog who used to get realy stressed about many things (he was badly abused when we found him) it seemed to help. Also try turning up tv ect to hide the thunder. long term, maybe try an acclimatisation cd, can get them used to thunder or fireworks ect. Speak to your vet, may get some advice over phone? Could someone take her the vet for you?
