How to keep pet dog calm after surgery?
I’m bringing my pug to get neutered. Not yet, but usually he likes to run around, and stand on 2 legs whenever I bring the food bowl up/put it down. If that happens, will his stitches tear?
If yes, then do you think he will know that he should keep still himself, or what should I do to make sure he moves as less as possible?
i dont really think that is going to be an issue but for at least the first 24 hours he is home i would keep him calm. you may have to put him in a bathroom or other small room like a laundry room by himself to accomplish this. some dogs will limp around for several days and milk it for everything that it is worth and others are ready to go for a jog the minute they get home. it just depends on his personality. good luck and hope he does ok
