Why isn’t LEONBERGER in my dog breed book?
I recently bought a book called “The Dog Breed Bible”
the back of the book says that it has every dog breed, but it doesn’t even have Leonberger. Why is this? Is there another name for these dogs?

This heavily illustrated directory describes every canine breed recognized by the AKC.”
The Leonberger isn’t currently recognized by the AKC. The book was published in 2007, and the breed entered the Miscellaneous Class (on its way to recognition) in July 2008. So it missed the publication deadline.
