is it normal for a dog to freak out if she cant get comfy?!?
my dog spins round and round on anything shes gona lie on, padding it with her nose and paws and crying cos its not soft enough (my bed, sofas etc) sounds like shes in pain!!(shes not)
also, when she was in her cage from the start she peed in a litter tray, we changed it to a smaller cage for travelling, and thn back up to her big cage…now she pees everywhere!! how can i stop this, shes destructive so we have to keep her in the cage
You don’t say how old the dog is – but as to crate training. Start over. It seems that the change in her habit messed up what was working. Young dogs need routine. Even if she is older, you need to go back to step 1 in crate training.
Only out to potty and back up. So all accidents happen in the crate where she has to ‘get dirty’. Dog are clean by nature and will strive to stay clean. She’ll remember after a few days.
As to not being comfortable. Even though you don’t think there is pain – I’d have those hips xrayed. It is not normal. And it is hard for you to manipulate hips to cause pain. Let the vet check and do the xray! Better safe than sorry later.
