Start with a Nerf ball and work up from there. Bounce it off their nose and stand so that it heads towards the hoop. Get a kiddie one at first and reward the dog every time he bumps the ball at first then only when it hits the back board then only when he makes a basket the dog will get it!

Rub something on your hand that your dog would like so they will lick it off! It’s important not to be too aggressive at this stage as this will encourage aggressive behaviour.
Once your puppy is a bit older, they will want to explore even more and they will also start teething. They nip you because their mouth is sore. If this is the reason, you need to ensure your puppy has something to chew to soothe the pain of teething.
IMPORTANT POINTS TO REMEMBER WHEN STOPPING YOUR DOG PLAY BITING
#1 Make it clear that you are the leader of the pack.
#2 Praise and reward good behaviour.
#3 Remember that the best way to stop bad behavior is to ignore it and turn the other way. This is what the mother and other puppies do when your puppy was still with the litter.
