Dog Constantly Drooling?
Hello, my dog is a Weimereiner and is 5years old (female). She drools sometimes, when food is around or after she takes a drink of water, but this time … she’s just drooling all over the place. I can walk on the carpet and feel the wet spots from where she has left trails of drool. I’ve been laying in bed, and her with me … and when I look at her, drool is just dropping from either side of her mouth; making wet spots on the sheets & quilt.
Is there anything seriously wrong or what?
we have weims and have had 6 weims all together…some drool and some don’t. it is true that they drool because of stress or anxiety…but also its kind of in their nature. their snouts/mouths have alot of skin and the water/saliva gathers in this skin…so if you notice after they drink and walk away from the water dish, the water is just dripping out of their mouths leaving a huge puddle. i would imagine your dogs problem is probably from the stress/anxiety…has anything changed in her/your life…any difference in her normal pattern, have you left her or gone on vacation for a significant time, etc..things like that
