dog weighted vest

dog weighted vest
Where can I find a “weighted” dog vest or harness for my 55 pound Shar-Pei?

I heard Cesar Millan recommend one of these types of vests for higher energy dogs while they are walking. Something around 10, 15, or 20 pounds. My Shar-Pei gets two, 1 mile walks per week day, morning and evening. Then two 1.5 mile walks per weekend day. I feel like this is enough but I would like him to be more fatigued after his weekday morning walks. I don’t have the time to walk him further than 1 mile in the mornings so I figured if I could add 10 pounds to his workload it would benefit him and allow him to better enjoy the rest of his day. I’ve looked online for this type of equipment but I can’t find what I’m looking for. Does anybody know where to find something like this?

I assume that is what you are talking about. As for Cesar Millan Take everything he says with a grain of salt.

add: Tiff is right, you need to check with a vet first and make sure he’s medically sound enough. Any dog under the age of two should not be asked to carry/pull weight because they are not finished maturing yet. There are alternatives. Get a spring contraption on a bike and take him for bike rides. Trotting a mile is more work than walking a mile.
