Questions regarding shore excursions for Alaskan cruise?
My sister and I are going on an Alaskan cruise in May for 7 days. Our ports are Juneau, Skagway, and British Columbia. Do the shore excursions include the transportation time required? If not, should be alot for like an hour before and after each excursion if we can fit in more then one excursion?
In Juneau: we are planning whale watching
In Skagway: Zip line and possible dog sled experience or Glass Blowing
In Victoria, B.C.: not sure what to do
The shore excursions do include the time from when you leave the port until you return. They are pretty good on staying on schedule. But give yourself a good hour between 2 shore excursions. Anything closer could be a mistake. One thing you can do is to go ahead and book the shore excursion and then when you get on the ship, talk to the shore excursion person asap to ask any questions. You can cancel any shore excursion like 48 hours in advance and get a full refund. I always book my excursions on line before the cruise to avoid being disappointed because the excursion has filled up. BTW, I am going for my second time to Alaska this summer also on a cruise.
