While my girlfriend was napping I jokingly tried on her peach chiffon cocktail dress and her Dog went nuts?
and was barking and chasing me around her house. My girlfriend woke up before I could get out of the dress and I was really embarrassed. It also got torn.
Don’t you think there is a problem with her dog and that I shouldn’t have to pay for a new dress?

You are seriously in error here. Just pay for the dress, wear your own clothes from not on, tell the dog and your girlfriend you regret your “joke” and hope they both forgive and forget.
At least the dog won’t be telling all your family and friends about this little incident, I sure wouldn’t bet on your girlfriend never mentioning it.
