Should I make my bed lower for my older dog?
He LOVES the bed being up high because he can go under it and he is a “cave dog” so… he’s a schnauzer…but he misses the bed 1-2 times out of 10, looks a little embarrassed and then with a little encouragement tries again and makes it. He’s never had this problem before. He’s 7 1/2 years old now. Should I make it easier for him and him lose his cave or is it good for him to leave it like it is? He is an active dog. When the bed isn’t elevated he gets stuck sometimes and whimpers.

I wouldnt lower it, just help him get on the bed.
