Solo Automatic pet door, or the Power Pet one?
I’m trying to decide between two brands of guillotine-style electronic pet door, the Solo Automatic and the Power Pet. (I’m going to have to buy (or create) a patio door panel version.) I have an indoor-only cat, and two 20 lbs dogs that need to have access to the backyard. Does anyone have any experience with either one? Thumbs up or thumbs down about how it functions? If you bought the patio door version or had a panel made, how did the installation go? Thanks
To make this simpler … if you have one of these models of electronic pet doors in your home, are you happy with it? Thanks
The Solo automatic looks like the way to go. It uses a simple non electronic magnet on the collar to trigger the door.
You cannot trust the electronics or the construction of power pet.
And Staywell is the worst crap ever.

This 3-flap pet door keeps extreme hot and cold weather out of your home while giving your pet the freedom to come and go. This well-designed door has a maximum energy efficiency that’s 3-½ times higher than our standard single-flap doors.
