Why does my dog keep flipping her dog bowl?
Everytime I put her food in the bowl, she dumps it with her paw so that it’s on the floor. At first, I thought maybe she doesn’t like the bowl because it was bought from a garage sale, but it was stainless steel & I thought I washed it good enough. So then I changed bowls and bought a new plastic one. She still continued to dump it. It’s like she rather eat it off the floor, but it is so messy that it irritates me. Any suggestions on why she does it or what I could do to prevent her from doing it?
It could be that she is not comfortable eating out of a bowl. Especially if she has long hair around her face. If that’s the case then switch to using a plate for her meals. Or maybe the food does not taste right to her somehow. Has she been fed table food? If so then she’s spoiled and thinks she should eat what you her pack mate eat. Not really a healthy thing for a dog since we eat things that they can not. Put a place mat under her bowl or plate and that will help with the mess.
